Materials & Plating
What type of stainless steel do you use?
Our jewelry is made from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel – the same grade used in medical implants. It is highly resistant to rust, corrosion, and everyday wear.
What is the plating on your jewelry?
Plated pieces are finished with a layer of 18k gold or rose gold using a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process, which bonds the coating more durably than traditional electroplating.
Will the plating fade or tarnish?
PVD plating is significantly more resistant to tarnishing than standard electroplating. However, like all plated jewelry, it can gradually wear over time if regularly exposed to harsh chemicals, perfumes, or abrasive surfaces. With proper care, it is designed to maintain its finish for everyday use.
Water & Sweat Resistance
Is Zinmeer jewelry waterproof?
Our stainless steel pieces are water-resistant and can handle light splashes, hand-washing, and brief exposure to water. We recommend removing jewelry before swimming in chlorinated pools or saltwater, as prolonged exposure can affect the finish over time.
Can I wear it while working out?
Yes – the steel base handles sweat well. We suggest rinsing pieces with clean water and drying them after heavy workouts to maintain the finish.
Skin Sensitivity
Is your jewelry safe for sensitive skin?
316L stainless steel is hypoallergenic and nickel-free once alloyed, making it a popular choice for people with metal sensitivities. If you have a known severe metal allergy, we recommend consulting your doctor before wearing any jewelry.
Care Instructions
How do I care for my Zinmeer jewelry?
